Hello, I’m Jon.
I am an experienced care professional with a background as a Nominated Individual, Registered Manager, and Operational Director within regulated care services. I established YCP Consultancy with a clear and personal purpose: to support care providers in delivering high-quality, person-centred care while building services that are compliant, well-led, and financially sustainable.
My experience spans the full lifecycle of care services. I have supported organisations from initial CQC registration and Fit Person interviews through to mobilisation, governance, inspection readiness, and ongoing operational leadership. Having worked directly with regulators, commissioners, and frontline teams, I understand the realities of care delivery and the pressures faced by providers at every stage of their journey.
I believe strongly that good care and strong business performance must go hand in hand. My approach is practical, honest, and rooted in real operational experience, not generic advice or theoretical models. I work closely with providers, taking the time to understand their service, their challenges, and their ambitions. Where needed, I provide clear guidance, constructive challenge, and calm, steady support.
Through YCP Consultancy, I support both new and established care organisations with CQC registration, interview preparation, governance frameworks, mock audits, operational processes, Registered Manager mentorship, and tendering support. My focus is always on raising standards, strengthening leadership, and helping providers build resilient, high-performing services that deliver safe, effective, and compassionate care.
